IN-SPIRATION
From February 8 to February 26 we present IN-SPIRATION by Caspar Berger. At the heart of this exhibition is the work CARVED TIME Series of Contemporary Prayer Nuts, previously shown at PAN Amsterdam and now presented in Antwerp. The exhibition is accompanied by a lecture series hosted at Samenloop, located in the Maagdenhuis on Lange Gasthuisstraat 33 in Antwerp.
Artist Caspar Berger will take part in a moderated lecture with two speakers, exploring the diverse themes of the contemporary Prayer Nuts. The conversation will be held at Samenloop led by a moderator and a full lineup of speakers and moderators. We are excited to reveal the first confirmed guests.
We are very pleased that Belgian journalist and cultural broadcaster Nicky Aerts and Philip Heylen, former Alderman for Culture, Economy, and Tourism for the City of Antwerp have confirmed. Also Chris Bryssinckx, Former director of GATAM VZW (Grote Afstand Tot de ArbeidsMarkt) (Long Distance from the Labour Market) has confirmed. In addition, entrepeneur, author and colomnist Yasmien Naciri, veteran VRT foreign affairs journalist Bert De Vroey, aswel as Emile van Binnebeke, Curator of European Sculpture and Furniture at the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels, will participate.
Samenloop is a project disguised as a restaurant. With applicants for international protection (asylum seekers and refugees), foreign-language newcomers and students who combine learning and working, Samenloop brings together renowned chefs to create a high-profile restaurant of gastronomic quality. Current expert guidance Chef is Wouter Keersmaekers van restaurant ‘De Schone van Boskoop’.

After the lectures, we will walk together to NQ gallery, where you will have the opportunity to exclusively visit the new exhibition IN-SPIRATION while enjoying a drink and a light bite.
