Anne Marie Laureys

Anne Marie Laureys is one of the most important Belgian ceramic artists of her generation. Starting from the traditional potter’s wheel, she develops sculptural forms that are distorted, folded, and built up into organic compositions during the making process. Her work balances between ceramics and autonomous sculpture, characterized by strong tactility, rich surface texture, ana keen sensitivity to form.
